Pilates and Rehabilitation

The team at The Core Studio have a wealth of experience and work closely alongside osteopaths and physiotherapists.

After injury or surgery you may be given only up to six sessions of Physiotherapy; this may not be enough to get you back to running, cycling, playing with your children, or whatever your goal may be.

As Pilates teachers, our job is to aid further recovery from the point where your doctor or physiotherapist signs you off. The Pilates Method will not only be applied to a specific area but will also focus on full body integration, thus improving your recovery and preventing you from sustaining further injury.

The Pilates Method can also be adapted for those who have suffered from long-term pain in, for example, the back, hip or knee. Learning to move correctly will in turn correct imbalances within the body bringing it back into correct alignment before any damage is caused to the muscles or joint.
