Pilates
Karen Prato
After travelling the globe as an international croupier, Karen
decided to say goodbye to sun drenched beaches and Pina Coladas
and follow her passion for the Health and Fitness Industry.
She began teaching fitness classes and delivering personal
training in 1994 and over the years has been privileged to
work in some of the most prestigious health clubs in and around
London.
During this time she worked as a Studio Manager running a
team of up to 40 teachers and a class timetable of up to 120
classes per week. This is when she discovered her love for
`The Pilates Method`.
In 1999 she knew it was time to go down yet another avenue
in her career. Her initial introduction to Pilates Matwork
was with an American company called `The Physical Mind Institute`
based in Santa Fe. She then discovered `Stott Pilates`, based
in Toronto, Canada, and continued her training there. This
was just the tip of the iceberg!
In
2003 Karen decided to continue her training with 'Body Arts
and Science International' and 'Polestar Pilates', which qualified
her to teach both mat work and equipment-based Pilates.
Karen
continues her education by attending courses and workshops
with some of the most respected teachers in the industry including
'The Elders'. She believes the beauty of Pilates is that you
never stop learning, whether you are a participant or a teacher.
Lynsey Will
Lynsey has come from a sports background. She is a former
member of the Great Britain Sports Acrobatic team working
in a women’s pair as a `Flyer`.
Having a passion for the Health and Fitness industry, Lynsey
completed a National Diploma in Leisure Studies. She subsequently
completed her ETM Aerobics qualification and YMCA Instructor
Personal Training Qualification. Lynsey continued to teach
classes and deliver personal training in health clubs in and
around London.
On discovering the benefits of The Pilates Method, she was
inspired to change direction and study with `Stott Pilates’,
which is one of the most well-known companies in the world
and is based in Toronto, Canada.
Lynsey
continues her training by regularly attending workshops and
courses, working alongside osteopaths and physiotherapists.
